Wu Fu Elementary School

From the warm and balmy Southern Taiwan (Kaohsiung County), the Wufu Elementary School students will bring the traditional Taiwanese folk art to the stage of TELUS TAIWANfest. These include fan dancing, folk music ensemble, marriage customs reenacting, puppet theatre and Taiwanese opera. Most specially, these children will bring out the beauty of our mother tongue with the history and literature of Taiwan.
Under the leadership of Principal Yen Shu-Feng, Wufu has developed a well-rounded curriculum that includes multi-disciplinary arts and provides students with variety of learning. Wufu incorporates local traditional arts into classes including orchestra, Taiwanese talk show, Taiwanese lanterns, etc and also emphasizes on sports such as table tennis and football. The school also values the importance of cultural exchange on the education of children.
